About this product
Aluminium Luggage
Zipperless and hassle free combination locks combined with four floor friendly 360 degree rubber wheels make this the ideal hard case travel suitcase.
Whether you are on a business trip or going away on holiday, we know your luggage is precious to you.
Stylish aluminium cases are a good travel companion, rolling alongside you from the hotel to the airport, and the zipperless frame closes on combination locks instead of a zip.
Checked luggage is equipped with a 3-digit numeric password lock that offers 1,000 combinations for added security, and you do not need to carry a key. Airport security staff in countries such as the USA have universal keys for TSA combination locks, so they can open the case safely instead of breaking it open.
Four floor friendly rubber wheels are fitted with swivel bearings, so each caster rotates 360 degrees smoothly, swiftly and silently while protecting your floors from scratches and your carpet from wear. The case can pass through narrow spaces and over rough ground.
The aluminium case has a three-position height adjustment handle, with a range of 28cm to 52cm. The trolley bar stretches up and down very smoothly and without jams.
Fully lined, the luggage protects stored items from scratches and snags, while a handy divider keeps everything neatly separated. Packing straps hold your clothes in place during transit, and zipped mesh pockets keep documents and smaller items apart.

Aluminium luggage refers to travel bags or suitcases made primarily from aluminium. They offer durability, strength and a sleek, modern look for travellers.
What is an aluminium suitcase for travel?
An aluminium suitcase for travel is luggage designed for travel and built from aluminium, for durability, protection and style.
What is zipperless hard shell luggage?
Zipperless hard shell luggage is travel luggage with a hard shell and no traditional zip. This case closes on its aluminium frame and fastens with combination locks.
Is aluminium luggage lightweight?
This case weighs 4.08 kg in the 54cm/20" size and 5 kg in the 69cm/26" size. Aluminium is strong for its weight, although an aluminium case is usually heavier than a plastic case of the same size.
Can an aluminium suitcase handle rough treatment during travel?
The aluminium shell and frame are built to protect your belongings from the knocks of travel. Under a hard knock aluminium can dent or scuff rather than crack.
Are zipperless hard shell cases secure?
With no zip, there is no zip for anyone to open. The case fastens with TSA approved combination locks that you set yourself.
Is aluminium luggage suitable for air travel?
Yes. Both sizes can travel as checked luggage. Airlines set their own cabin limits, so check the 54cm/20" case's measurements, 14.8 x 8.3 x 20.7 inches, against your airline's rules before using it as hand luggage.
Can an aluminium suitcase protect delicate items?
The rigid shell, the lined interior and the packing straps help keep your belongings in place. Wrap fragile items in clothing as well.
Is zipperless hard shell luggage water-resistant?
The hard shell keeps rain off your belongings in normal travel. The case is not sold as waterproof, so do not leave it standing in water.
Where can I buy aluminium luggage in Ireland?
You can order this case here at luggage.irish in either size, with free delivery on orders over €100.
What is a TSA combination lock?
A TSA lock can be opened by airport security staff in countries such as the USA with their universal keys, so they can inspect the case safely instead of breaking it open.
How do I set my lock?
Set the code to 000. Turn 90 degrees and push down. Hold it down and set your new code. Pull up, then turn back to the lock position.
How can I properly clean my suitcase?
We recommend a gentle soap and warm water, rinsed well. If you would like to wax the case after cleaning, a good silicone-based car or furniture polish will keep the lustre. We do not recommend a combination cleaner-polish.
How should I pack my suitcase?
Pack clothing tightly without over-stuffing the case: tight packing means no lost space and fewer wrinkles. Rolling garments such as jumpers and trousers works well, and so does laying long items in the bottom first and folding the ends over smaller items.
How do the packing straps help?
The packing straps hold your clothes in place during transit, so the contents do not shift when the case is standing up or being handled.
Which sizes are available?
Two: 54cm/20" at €369 and 69cm/26" at €449. Choose the size in the buy box before adding the case to your cart.
What are the dimensions of each size?
The 54cm/20" case measures 14.8 x 8.3 x 20.7 inches (about 37.6 x 21.1 x 52.6 cm). The 69cm/26" case measures 18 x 9.8 x 27 inches (about 45.7 x 24.9 x 68.6 cm).
How far does the handle extend?
The trolley handle has three positions, with a range of 28cm to 52cm.
How many wheels does the case have?
Four floor friendly rubber double spinner wheels, which turn through 360 degrees.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Card payments through our secure Stripe checkout, and PayPal.
What currency are the prices shown in?
All prices are shown and charged in euro (€).
What are your delivery options and how long will it take?
Standard delivery is free on orders over €100, which covers every order for this case. Express Delivery is a paid upgrade for €25. Orders are handled within 24 to 48 hours and delivered in 5 to 7 days.
Do you deliver outside Ireland?
Yes. The checkout accepts addresses outside Ireland at the same delivery charges. Delivery outside Ireland takes longer than 5 to 7 days, so contact us before you order for an estimate.
Do I get a receipt for my order?
You will be sent a receipt by email after payment is made, and a second email with a tracking number once your case has shipped.
Do you have a shop location?
We are an online supplier, with no physical shop or showroom.
Does the case come with a warranty?
Your rights under Irish consumer law apply to every order: goods must be of merchantable quality, fit for their purpose and as described. See our refunds and returns page for how to report a fault.
Can I return the case if I change my mind?
Yes. You have 15 days from delivery to tell us you want to return it, one more than the 14 days Irish law gives you. Send it back unused, in its original condition, and we refund the price and the standard delivery charge.
What if my case arrives faulty or damaged?
Contact us with your order number and photos. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 you can reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, and after that ask for a repair, a replacement or a refund.
How do I know if my order has been shipped?

I haven't received my order yet. Is it lost?

Because your luggage is worth protecting
Just getting to and from your final destination can be frustrating enough. Your luggage should not add to that stress.
This case rolls on four spinner wheels with a full 360 degrees of movement, so it glides alongside you instead of being pushed or towed. With a height-adjustable handle there is no need to strain your back, and you can rest a small bag on top.
Telescoping handle and grip handles
The telescoping handle locks into place. Extend it when rolling the case, then collapse it in one smooth move when you put the case away in a boot or a wardrobe. The top and side grip handles make it easy to lift, load and unload.
Choosing a size
The 54cm/20" case measures 14.8 x 8.3 x 20.7 inches (about 37.6 x 21.1 x 52.6 cm) and weighs 4.08 kg. The 69cm/26" case measures 18 x 9.8 x 27 inches (about 45.7 x 24.9 x 68.6 cm) and weighs 5 kg. These figures come from the size chart in the product photos.
Airlines set their own cabin size limits, so check your airline's rules before you take the smaller case on board as hand luggage.
Looking after it
Clean the case with a gentle soap and warm water, then rinse it well. If you would like to wax it after cleaning, a good silicone-based car or furniture polish will keep the lustre and add resistance to the finish. We do not recommend a combination cleaner-polish.
Tell us the trip you are packing for and how you like to travel, and we will tell you whether this one suits it before you buy. Free delivery on orders over €100.
